I felt good during today's race. I didn't use music because I lost my iPod. I've lately been practicing with a metronome, and while running, I kept thinking of the metronome beep, and thinking, "heel, heel, heel," to help me pull my foot up off the ground as soon as the foot hits the ground, and envisioning my heel coming up, up, up with each step. Since my half marathon in September, I've been working on landing on the middle or front half of my foot. I felt better at 9 miles than I remember feeling at 9 miles during my half, and today was a very very windy day. |
